I heard something in my room so I stepped out and saw her infatuated with the clothes on the bed. I leaned against the door frame and watched her. After a few minutes I cleared my throat. "Hey"

Sha're looked up and jumped slightly "Hi erm..I mean yes m'lord?" she said softly and bowed her head slightly "May I ask how long m'lord has been standing there?" she asked with a slight smile

I admired her beauty as she stood there in the late evening light. "Long enough to notice you found your...gift."

Sha're saw something different in his eyes this time. She wasn't sure if she liked it or not. It made her feel a little tingly but she wasn't used to it. The only time she had seen anything close to that had been in Rommel's eyes. But this was different. She paused for a moment considering. "Yes" she smiled and blushed slightly "they are beautiful! I have never worn such fine clothes...they have always been above my station" she said quietly "is m'lord sure they are not to fine?" she asked tentatively

"Nothing is to fine for the servant of the future Pharaoh. You look your best, I look my best" I smiled and pushed myself off the frame of the door. "Do you like them?" I watched her motion and emotions, There was some fear behind it, I wasn't sure if it was because of what my brother had done or if anything had happened in the past.

Sha're nodded "Of course m'lord" then looked back at the clothes "They are beautiful" she said again before blushing slightly at saying it again. "When...when would m'lord like me to start wearing them? Is there a special occasion?" she trailed off slightly

I walked closer, to where I stood only a mere 2 feet away from her. "whenever you wish" I said with a soft tone looking her up and down and back up again. I had to bite my lip and be cautious what I said. "I plan on a few travels, to Rome, and around Egypt. I will need an escort, a servant to help me in my travels. I will also seek a male guard to accompany us."

Sha're eyed him looking at her with some caution, she took a small step back towards the clothes turning as she did. "I see" she smiled "then I shall try them on posthaste when I get back to my quarters" she flashed him a smile. "Any one in mind for the guard m'lord?"

I reached out a hand right as she turned away. As smoothly as I could I pulled my hand up and ran it through my hair. "No, not at this time, Do you know any good ones?" I said with a heavy sigh

Sha're cocked her head slightly and smiled "Hmm..not really..wasn't there a new royal guard around here somewhere? I saw him in the halls, I hadn't seen him before.." she offered

I turned and shrugged and then quickly swung around on one foot pivoting. "I don't know, so many come and go I don't remember who is old and who is new. If you think of anyone let me know" I said as i placed my hands behind my head and stretched. Just then the two hounds came dashing in. "Hey you two, been having fun you two rascals? Meet Bakara and Bakar" (i think is what it was lol)

Sha're nodded and then looked at him confused. "They protect your life, you do not get to know them?" she asked softly. She smiled as the two hounds came rushing in. "Ah yes the hounds from hell as Kvetch described them." she chuckled and rubbed one of their ears. "How old are they?" she asked petting one of them.

Bakara, the female rubbed up against her "No not to much, several get killed, others retire early, the only ones i get to know personally are the ones i make a point to get to know." I reassured her "They are both 7 months old" I said pushing Bakar around.

Sha're nodded "You have their mother?" she asked curiously as she tousled lightly with Bakara.

"No, they were a gift, from a merchant in the outskirts of the village." Was all I said

"oh I see" she smiled and nodded "how old were they?" she asked rubbing Bakara's tummy as the dog rolled over on her back.

"Newborn, I hand raised them. The mother died and they couldn't afford to feed the pups so i took them all in. Mother wasn't to pleased about it so i gave them all away as they grew of age, except for these two" I rubbed their heads and knocked them together. "Not the smartest ones, but love em to death" I said as they wrestled me over and sat on me licking my face

Sha're nodded and then giggled as they knocked him over. "Dogs know no rank hmm? Perhaps that is why people love them" she said quietly and her eyes met his briefly. She blinked and looked down again. "And how is the young princess?" she asked quietly and curiously

I abruptly stopped and pushed the dogs off of me "What's that supposed to mean? And the princess is fine. A little shocked but fine"

"I just..." she sighed "I meant nothing m'lord" she said as she stood up again and walked to his window. She looked out and sighed. "Have you ever just wanted to be a normal person...not a prince...not a slave...just normal? Just...free?" she asked softly

For a moment I felt guilty and bad for reacting that way. I sat on the floor for a moment and then got up walking up behind her. "Every day of this forsaken life" I said a bit frustrated as I placed a hand on her shoulder. "Everyday do I wish to run away to a far off place, become a nobody"

Sha're nodded. She felt his hand on her shoulder but didn't flinch away. Then she turned and leaned against the window frame looking at him. "We are both slaves then" she said softly and blinked. "Both trapped and cannot get away. The same system that gives you the power of a god...ensnares us both" she said before looking out again. "And yet your destiny is to continue that system." she was strangely amused at the irony.

As she turned I shifted and placed my hand on the wall behind her. I stepped in one step closer to 'catch my balance' "It is very much so, Thing is, I could relieve you of your duty, make you the nobody you wish to be, however I am forever stuck in this circle of disgust. I just make the best out it." I said as my eyes never left her even as she turned her eyes.

She felt him closer but she didn't react negatively to it. Truth was she was curious just how close he would get. "This is true.." she said as she turned to face him again and sat down on the window sill looking up at him. "Although somehow I think even being a no-body my heart would not be content" she said sadly she looked at him again. "And you..could you not take one of your fine horses, ride into the desert, find a Bedouin tribe and disappear?" she asked softly

"It's not that easy" I considered her comment. It wasn't like I hadn't considered or thought about running off before "What could would that do those that need help....What would make your heart content?" I asked moving my head in a bit closer to where our noses brushed I waited there for a mere second to see what she would do.
